About Us

Sunshine Action USA came together in 2020 with the goal of relieving poverty. Comprised of solely volunteers, many students, we strive to ensure that everyone has access to basic necessities that the more fortunate often take for granted. We are an action-based nonprofit organization that strives to create a direct impact on low-income families and those experiencing homelessness. We want to help by relieving burdens relating to a lack of essential material goods (i.e, food, sanitary products, medicine etc.)

Our History

During our pandemic crisis, many families financially struggling during 2020 were experiencing food disparity. At this time Sunshine Action was being legally established and volunteers shopped for food that could sustain a family for a week. Those with resources were supporting those in need.

Sunshine Action was formally registered as a 501(c)3 Nov 2021. Since then it has continued to support hunger and poverty with essential donations such as nonperishable food or clothing. Sunshine Action remains committed to operating completely on volunteers and donations.

Volunteers have participated in the many events and programs which Sunshine Action has hosted over the years, consisting mainly of food packing events and food distribution events to street homeless, low income, affordable housing and sheltered communities.
