Street Food Donation on Dec 7th 2023!

In collaboration with The Interfaith Assembly on Housing and Homelessness, Sunshine Action donated food, socks, hot soup and drinks to migrant families, (many with kids) and those unhoused individuals living on the street.

Thursday, Dec 7th 2023 in front of St Francis De Assisi Church on W 31st st. NYC 7PM-9PM. The pop-up pantry allowed for 75-80 individuals and families to select their food items.

Walk and Shop for Hunger Event on October 22nd 2023!

Sunday, OCT 22nd 2023 at St Peter's Church on E 54th and Lex, Sunshine Action joined a fall walk before we gathered at Grand Army Plaza to hear Vance R. Hinton speak on his former homeless experience and how he started the Undomiciled Project to benefit the homeless.

Sunshine Action & volunteers were able to walk to Trader Joe's on E 59th to shop and create food bags to later donate! This lead to the distribution in front of St.Peter's Church! Thank you so much to everyone that helped.

Washingtonville Housing Alliance

Food Bag Event for Families in Need on August 2nd 2023!

At The Washingtonville Housing Alliance (136 Library Ln A, Mamaroneck, NY 10543), student volunteers packed and distributed 25 food bags to families in need.

Interfaith Assembly on Housing & Homelessness food bag event on July 20th 2023!

Special thanks to our online donors, in person cash donors, and Trader Joes for assisting us and allowing us to make this event possible!

Food Bag Donation Event with The Child Center of New York on Friday July 14th 2023 at The Macari Family Wellness Center!

(140-15B Sanford Avenue, 2nd Floor, Flushing, NY 11355)

Through this event various single moms and their babies, either in shelters or in low income housing, were provided for. The moms are part of the Perinatal Program that assists single moms with Social work services and parenting guidance. Sunshine Action is extremely grateful to be able to help the lovely mothers as much as possible!

Food Bag Event with Breaking Grounds residence on July 14th 2023!

At The Times Square (255 W 43rd St, New York, NY 10036) , Sunshine Action was able to support individuals in need on Wednesday June 14th 2023. Volunteers packed off site and delivered 50 food bags to residents in the lobby!
