Campus Food Pantry at Miami University in Ohio

Sheltered, homeless, and low-income families benefited from the donation of 100 food bags at St. Luke in the Fields Church. Sunshine Action supported the enormous efforts of the University of Georgia Students' Backpack Project in Athens, Georgia. They cooked a pasta meal with the food donations and distributed it to 60 homeless individuals. Thank you all for your amazing Saturday events for the needy in Athens!

The Sunshine Action team provided 80 fortune bags with a multitude of non-perishable food items to the migrant families at the Advent Lutheran Church in Manhattan. The bags were distributed right after the service with Father Fabian, and the donations were graciously received. Thank you to all the interns and volunteers for making this happen!

The Sunshine Action team distributed 25 fortune bags filled with various non-perishable food items to migrant moms and babies at the B'nai Jeshurun Synagogue immediately after the service with the B'nai Jeshurun Synagogue sector. The donations were warmly received, and some second-hand baby toys and clothes were also distributed. A heartfelt thank you to all the interns and volunteers who made this possible!

Pop-up Pantry with the International Assembly for the Homelessness and Housing

This is our fourth street pop-up event collaboration between Sunshine Action and Interfaith Assembly For Homelessness and Housing, led by Marc Greenberg. Migrant families and those on the street without shelter benefited from bags of nonperishable food, cold drinks and clothing.

Sunshine Action and NYU collaborated to pack food bags on campus and later distribute them at The Riverside Church!

Special thanks to Allyson Margolis, the director of the Workplace Learning Innovation Lab Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies, School of Professional Studies, SPS, at New York University in creating the packing event & at the Riverside Church, Julio Quirindongo, who coordinated gathering of migrant families!

St Bartholomew's, Breaking Ground, Coalition of the Homeless, Project Renewal

This was a team-building event where the employees of Wells Fargo generously helped us with packing food bags. The food bags were distributed to St. Bartholomew's on May 30th, as well as Breaking Ground and Coalition of the Homeless on May 31st in the Bronx and Brooklyn locations, by the Sunshine Action Interns and volunteers. On June 3rd, 80 more bags were given to Project Renewal in the Bronx.

The impact of Sunshine Action on the various communities was received with the greatest gratitude. Thank you to all Sunshine Action Interns and Wells Fargo Employee Volunteers!

Food Bag Donation with Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School

In collaboration with the generous funding and packing efforts of Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in NYC, we donated a total of 157 food bags to the A. Philip Randolph Houses in West Harlem over 2 events. Thank you to Dean Chappell and Teacher Sara Cusick, who organized students to pack at the school and provided teacher and student support at the distribution!

Packing & Distribution Event with Father Arias at St. Peter's Church

In supporting Father Arias and the migrant community he gathers for Sunday mass, Sunshine Action donated 55 food bags this Sunday at St.Peter's Church. Volunteers packed and distributed food bags at the church in time for Spanish mass.

Migrants travel from all over NYC for this Spanish mass. After mass, they meet with translators and legal counsel who have been organized by Father Arias. We applaud Father Arias and his staff for their tremendous efforts with the migrant communities of NYC!

Pop-up Pantry with the International Assembly for the Homelessness and Housing Team

Non-perishable food items and socks were offered along with hot drinks and cookies provided by the IAHH. Despite the rain, volunteers distributed 70 food bags during the event. Thank you to our private donors who supported the event!
